About Trichology.com

Trichology.com — the epicenter of trichology

Trichology.com is the evidence-based home of the field. Under one roof we publish the clinical Journal, the Library, and the Trichology Professional Registry — an independent, credential-reviewed record of recognised trichology professionals — so patients, practitioners, and the curious can finally rely on a single source of truth.

What Trichology.com is

Trichology is the paramedical science that studies the structure, function, and diseases of the human hair and scalp. It was born in London in 1902. For more than a century, the work has lived in scattered clinics, academic papers, and a handful of professional societies — never in one public, trustworthy home.

Trichology.com exists to consolidate the field into one evidence-based institution: a Journal that documents what works, a Library that explains it in plain language, and the Trichology Professional Registry — an independent, privately-published reference for credential, identity, and practice standards that records who Trichology.com has verified to practise. The search you are using right now queries that public Registry.

Three institutions, one source of truth

Trichology.com brings the field's three core functions — research, education, and recognition of qualified professionals — under one roof.

The Journal

Evidence-based clinical articles, case reviews, and research notes — the public record of where the field of trichology actually stands.

The Registry

The Trichology Professional Registry — a manually credential-reviewed roll of recognised trichology professionals worldwide. Every record reviewed by a human before publication.

The Library

Patient-facing explainers and professional resources covering hair loss, scalp health, and the science behind real regrowth.

Founded by

William Gaunitz, WTS

Trichology.com was founded by William Gaunitz, WTS — a certified trichologist and member of the World Trichology Society who has been pioneering natural hair regrowth treatments since 2002. Trained in the United Kingdom, France, and Australia, William is also the founder of Advanced Trichology and the Evolution Hair Loss Institute.

Trichology.com is his effort to give the field a public, evidence-based home — and to hold every Registry record, article, and standard on the site to the same clinical rigor he brings to his own practice.

Editorial standards

Articles in the Library and the Trichology Journal are written or reviewed by practicing, WTS-credentialed trichologists before publication. Author credentials are disclosed on every piece. We don't accept paid editorial placement, and sponsored content — when it exists — is clearly labeled.

Trichology.com is free for patients and free for verified professionals. No payment buys verification, fake reviews, or the ability to hide legitimate negative feedback. Verified professionals can optionally enhance their visibility within the Registry for richer media and priority lead routing — see Registry classes.

Our principles

Verification first

Every professional in the Registry is manually credential-checked against World Trichology Society standards before publication. No bots, no auto-imports.

Patients are not products

We do not sell, resell, or syndicate patient contact information. Ever.

Clinical clarity over hype

Editorial content and Registry records focus on what the evidence supports — not what sells products.

Open standards

Our verification criteria, review policy, and moderation playbook are all public.

Editorial & medical advisory board

Curated under William Gaunitz's direction, our advisory board brings together senior trichologists, dermatologists, and hair-restoration physicians to review editorial content and verification standards. If you're an experienced specialist and want to contribute, email advisory@trichologynetwork.com.
