Terms of Service

Last updated: 2026

Trichology.com is a private publisher. We are not a government agency, licensing board, or accreditor. Recognition in the Trichology Professional Registry is editorial, not a license to practise. See our Legal Notice — Non-Governmental Status.

1. Acceptance

By accessing or using Trichology.com and the Trichology Professional Registry (collectively, the “Service”) you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. The Registry

Records in the Trichology Professional Registry are informational. We verify credentials in good faith but do not endorse any professional, treatment, or outcome. Inclusion in the Registry is an editorial recognition by a private publisher — it is not a license, certification, or accreditation issued by any government or regulatory authority. Patients are responsible for their own care decisions and should independently verify any clinician’s current license with the appropriate state board. Information on the Service is not medical advice. See our Legal Notice — Non-Governmental Status for the full disclaimer.

3. Professional accounts

If you hold a record in the Registry you agree to (a) keep practice information accurate and current, (b) respond to consultation requests professionally and within a reasonable time, (c) comply with all applicable laws and licensing rules of your jurisdiction, and (d) not impersonate or misrepresent any person or credential.

4. Patient submissions

Reviews and consultation requests must be truthful, your own, and free of personally identifying information about third parties or protected health information. We moderate all reviews and may edit or remove content that violates these Terms or our Trust & Safety policy.

5. User-generated content license

When you submit content (reviews, replies, photos, articles), you grant Trichology.com a worldwide, royalty-free, non-exclusive license to host, display, reproduce, and distribute that content as part of the Service. You retain ownership. You can request removal of your own content at any time.

6. Prohibited use

  • Scraping, mass-downloading, or systematic extraction of Registry data without written permission.
  • Posting fake reviews, paying for reviews, or coordinated review manipulation.
  • Harassment, threats, or content that violates privacy or other laws.
  • Using the Service to send spam or unsolicited marketing.
  • Interfering with the Service's security or operation.

7. Paid Registry recognition

Paid recognition classes are month-to-month. You can cancel anytime; enhanced-visibility features remain active until the end of the current billing period. Cancellation does not affect your verified status — only the enhanced-visibility features end. Refunds are handled case-by-case — email billing@trichologyregistry.com.

8. Account termination

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, including for repeated moderation violations. You can close your account anytime from your dashboard or by emailing us.

9. Medical disclaimer

The Service is for general educational and informational purposes. It is not a substitute for professional medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Always consult a qualified healthcare professional regarding any condition.

10. DMCA / copyright

If you believe content on the Service infringes your copyright, send a written notice to legal@trichologynetwork.com containing: (a) the URL of the infringing material, (b) a description of the copyrighted work, (c) your contact information, (d) a good-faith statement that you are authorized to act, and (e) your signature.

11. Disclaimer of warranties

The Service is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

12. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Trichology.com is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenue, arising out of your use of the Service.

13. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Trichology.com from any claim arising out of content you submit or your use of the Service in violation of these Terms or applicable law.

14. Governing law & disputes

Trichology.com is operated from the United States and serves users worldwide. These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, USA, excluding its conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Delaware, unless local consumer law gives you the right to bring the dispute in another forum.

15. Changes

We may update these Terms. Material changes will be announced via email or in-app notice. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
